Jets vs Ravens live score, updates, highlights from ‘Thursday Night Football’

While Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are widely expected to crush the Jets in “Football Friday Night,” they may have to do it in a style different from many of his previous wins.

Baltimore (11-2) leads the NFL with about 200 rushing yards per game, but one of New York’s few (5-8) is its defensive defense, which allows just 3 yards of carry – the best point in the league with significant margin. That means Jackson could be more aggressive throwing the ball down, which was extremely successful when the team’s playcalling allowed this season.

Jackson has thrown for 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He has rushed for 1,017 yards and is closing in on Michael Vick’s record for pitches to be on the ground for a general. Vick ran for 1,039 yards in 2006.

The best the Jets can do this season is hitting .500, and a four-game winning streak of five games offers the faint hope that they can end this optimistic note. However, the offense committed by second-year General Adm. Sam Darnold could have been a hindrance to the Ravens (and the Steelers and the Bills in the last two weeks of the campaign). Baltimore has the sixth most in the NFL with 20.
