The Masked Dancer presenter Joel Dommett, 36, has told how he and his wife Hannah Cooper, 30, watched helplessly on CCTV as a burglar broke into their house. The TV presenter and Celebrity Gogglebox star revealed he and his wife were in tears as they watched a burglar rifle through their belongings after buying their dream home following their wedding.

The couple married in a beautiful ceremony in Mykonos, Greece in September 2019 before moving into their new house together.
Addressing the incident, Joel said: “After we got married, we finally moved to a new house.
“We got burgled fairly shortly after we moved in. It was mad,” he added.
The TV personality branded it his and Hannah’s “worst fear” as they watched the intruder rifle through expensive handbags and shoes after smashing a window to get inside the Surrey-based home.

Luckily, the TV star and his model wife weren’t at home at the time of the incident, but were forced to watch it unfold over CCTV.
Joel continued: “It is everyone’s worst fear and it was horrible.
“We saw on our CCTV camera this guy in our garden, and luckily me and her weren’t in the house, but we saw it and rang the police and drove home.”
The Masked Singer host told how he and Hannah watched the police arrive, before eventually tasering the intruder following the break-in.

“It was mad as we saw on the cameras the police arrive and we weren’t sure if the guy had left,” Joel said.
“We arrived and the police had gone in through the smashed french window and the guy was in there for 15 minutes.”
Joel revealed that he felt “traumatised” after the burglary and joked that the event had even put him and Hannah off having children, and that they had decided to order a sofa instead.
Following his arrest, the burglar was sentenced to four years in prison.

The comedian relayed the distressing incident during a stand-up show 2Northdown, in North London, ahead of his Unapologetic (If That’s OK?) tour, starting later this year.
Joel and his now-wife Hannah met shortly after he appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2016.
Model Hannah slid into his DMs following his appearance on the ITV reality show and the couple soon hit it off.
The couple tied the knot in 2019 after three years of dating.
The funnyman’s career has gone from strength to strength since his time in the jungle.
He currently fronts ITV’s prime time show The Masked Singer and spin-off show The Masked Dancer, and is also set to host new dating show The Love Trap.
In addition to the new eight-part series, the presenter is also appearing in Celebrity Gogglebox.
He told fans, via Instagram, that he was “super excited” to be on the show with his wife: “THE DREAM,” he branded the announcement.
