Jordanian authorities today announced the deaths of 10 people and the injuries of more than 251 following a toxic gas leak in the port of the main city of Aqaba, in the south of the country, after the fall of a tank full of toxic gas during the its transport, which led to a gas leak at the site.
The Jordanian Directorate for Public Security said in a press release: that during the daily work in the port of Aqaba today, there was an accident involving a tank filled with a toxic gaseous substance.
He added that thearea was immediately isolated and specialists began to deal with the accident, while the Civil Defense transferred a number of wounded to the hospital, all in treatment.
