Yorkshire shepherdess Amanda Owen, 46, showed her 155,000 Twitter followers the current icy conditions on her farm, as she pleaded for some more sunshine in her latest video. Wrapped up in a jacket and woolly hat, she discussed how she had been protecting her sheep during lambing season.
Come on spring time we need you here, we need some sunshine!
“My goodness, what a day. This is what we don’t want at the start of lambing time,” she began as she showed fans her icy surroundings.
She added: “Come on spring time we need you here, we need some sunshine!”
Amanda captioned her post: “A hasty return to Springlike conditions would be much appreciated.

Ahead of this, the mother-of-nine shared pictures of the countryside following a blizzard.
She wrote: “The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow.
“The wind whipped up an absolute blizzard and the wind chill factor must have been subzero as all’s frozen.”
The Our Yorkshire Farm star went on to share a picture of her sheep inside her barn, as well as snaps of her daughter embracing their indoor fire for some warmth.

Earlier this month, the shepherdess introduced her followers to a new lamb on the farm.
She said the addition took her by surprise as the sheep wasn’t due for another week.
“Supper time for moor sheep,” she commented.
“Not due to lamb for another week but already we have a new addition to the flock.”

Amanda also commented on how the poor weather conditions had continued to affect their living conditions.
She explained: “Been such a busy week making ready for lambing time.
“The weather dictates our fortunes & last weekends snow & gales brought a few troubles to the flock so we’ve brought down & into the barn a few of our older yows & shearlings (first time mothers-to-be).”
Away from her farming duties, she is a mum to nine children with husband Clive Owen.
In a recent interview, she discussed raising her kids in what she deemed a “snowflake generation”.
She said: “The snowflake generation, they can’t do anything.
“They don’t know anything about how to look after themselves, or a work ethic, all of that has gone out of the window. It’s our fault as parents.”
Amanda added to Radio Times Magazine: “If you put your child on a pedestal, with no sense of independence, and think you have got to entertain them the whole time, what can you expect?”
The farm added she avoids “swaddling children” as she wants to see them live their lives and “be themselves”.
