Juventus defender Bremer races against time to participate in the World Cup with Brazil

BERLIN: Italian football club Juventus have announced that their Brazilian defender Bremer has suffered a thigh injury that will keep him out of the game for around 3 weeks. Bremer, who arrived at Juventus from Turin before the start of the season in course, has participated in all ten games played so far by the team in the Italian league in this season. Bremer, 25, participated for the first time with the Brazilian national team in September, playing from the bench for 44 minutes, in the friendly that ended in a 3-0 win over Ghana. But now Bremer will race against time to regain fitness in time to join the Brazilian team, coached by coach Tite, in the 2022 World Cup, which will begin in Qatar on November 20. Juventus announced Monday that Bremer, injured in the 52nd minute of Saturday’s match against the former Torino team, is suffering from a tendon injury in his left thigh. Bremer will face an absence of around 20 days, which means he will miss matches against Empoli, Benfica, Lecce, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter. Bremer could be eligible to participate with Juventus in the two matches against Verona and Lazio before the interruption of competitions before the start of the World Cup.
