LONDON: Harry Kane scored a penalty in his 400th match for Tottenham Hotspur, leading them to a 2-0 win over Everton and solidifying his position in the English Premier League semi-finals on Saturday. Everton defended valiantly and lost two chances, but when goalkeeper Jordan Pickford fouled his English teammate Kane, the Tottenham striker didn’t miss a penalty. Tottenham dominated the game at half-time and Kane participated in the attack that ended with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s second goal in the 86th minute. Everton’s poor results against Tottenham continued, winning only one time in the last 20 Premier League games against London club. The Spurs, who have won their seven home games in all competitions in this season, they now have 23 points, as Manchester City ranks second in standings, will play Sunday against Liverpool. Arsenal lead the competition with 24 points.
