ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter ‘permanently suspended’
Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account “permanently suspended” after actress posted a series of tweets in relation to the election of the West Bengal assembly results.
She had also posted a video message where she insisted on President rule in state.
This may have been the reason why Twitter suspended Kangana’s account.
A spokesperson for the social media platform said:
“We have been clear that we will take strong coercive measures on behavior that has the potential to lead to evil offline.
“The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter rules especially our hateful conduct policy and abusive behavior policy.
“We apply the Twitter rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.”
After being suspended from Twitter, Kangana reacted and said in A declaration:
“Twitter has only proved my point of view that they are American and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brunette person, they want to tell you what to think, talk or do.
“Fortunately, I have many platforms that I can use raise my voice including mine art in the form of cinema.
“But my heart is going out at people of this nation who were tortured, enslaved and censored for thousands of years and there is still no end to suffering.
Kangana first made her way on Twitter in August 2020. She had shared a video and said:
“I saw how all world got together for fight for Sushant Singh Rajput and have won.
“So that makes me positive about son power to bring about the reforms that we want for a new India. So that’s why I have joined social media.
“I need your support in this trip, and I’m looking forward on this trip to build new relationships.”
However, his tweets often have attracted attention and it is not the first once she was penalized by Twitter.
Early 2021, Twitter India removed many of Kangana’s messages after her posted a tweet against Amazon Prime video series Tandav.
Kangana had said that it was “time to take the lead (of the manufacturers) off’ for hurt religious feelings ”.
At the time, a Twitter spokesperson said it was in violation of the platform’s abusive behavior policy.
The spokesperson said: “We prohibit content who wishes, hopes or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily harm against an individual or group of people and take enforcement action when we identify violations that could include placing an account in read-only mode. “
In response, Kangana tagged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and wrote:
“My account and my virtual identity could be martyred for the country at any time.
Kangana had also Twitter criticized for suspend Donald Trump’s account.
She has regularly used the platform to make candid statements, whether it is a issue or about another actor.
