#Roommates, Kanye West’s musical winning streak continues, as he officially closes 2019 with another musical success. His Sunday Service Choir released his first album on Christmas Day – and it hit the charts in a big way, missing just the top spot.
After matching her own solo Billboard record earlier this year with her number one debut album “Jesus Is King”, Kanye West has proven that her musical touch is pure magic and her incredibly talented Sunday Service Choir harvest the fruits. @Billboard reports that the Sunday Service Choir’s first album “Jesus Is Born” officially debuted in second place in the Gospel Albums ranking. The album missed first place because Kanye’s “Jesus Is King” still remains number one after nine weeks.
According to official estimates from the industry’s sales tracking, Kanye’s second spiritual project, “Jesus Is Born”, which is credited to his Sunday Service Choir, entered the Top Gospel Albums ranking with 6,000 units of equivalent albums won (3,000 in album sales) in the week ending December 26. The Sunday Service Choir, the musical collective that expresses its incredibly popular Sunday Service live shows, is in the center of attention and offers beautiful interpretations of R&B classics, with an updated spiritual touch – with Ye at the helm as an executive producer.
Among the 19 songs of “Jesus Is Born”, some of the notable figures include the spiritual retouching of classics, such as “Rain” and “Weak” by SWV, “Back To Life” by Soul II Soul and the very own “Father Stretch My Hands “by Kanye. . “
Kanye’s “Jesus Is King” made history when it was released a few months ago, debuting at number one on Top Gospel, Top Christian Albums, Billboard 200, Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums. It was also the first album in history to surpass all these charts at the same time. Let’s see if the Sunday choir can match its leader and make its own story.
