Comedian Kevin Bridges, 34, is said to be over the moon as he prepares to become a first-time father with wife Kerry Monaghan expecting their first child. The soon-to-be parents married in 2019.

The Clydebank-born funnyman and wife Kerry said “I do” just two years ago during a stunning ceremony held in St Peter’s Church, Glasgow, but have now added another landmark occasion to their happy relationship.
Confirming the news of their pregnancy, a spokesperson for Kevin said: “We can confirm Kevin and Kerry are expecting a child this year.”
It comes just hours after sources close to Kevin and Kerry revealed that they were excited at the prospect of becoming first-time parents.
“It’s wonderful news,” an insider said.

The source went on to tell The Sun: “They are absolutely delighted and are both looking forward to parenthood.
“It’s wonderful news, they have shared it amongst close friends and family but are keeping it all very private.”
Kevin and cafe boss Kerry had guests entertained during their beautiful wedding reception, with the comic taking to the stage, offering his rendition of the classic song, Jump Around by House of Pain.
The couple are said to have offered guests a free bar and also used their big day to raise vital funds for Glasgow’s Beatson centre, specialising in cancer care, rather than being sent gifts.

Kevin has previously joked that he met his wife thanks to his love of coffee beans.
He had been a regular at a swanky coffee shop close to his home in Glasgow where Kerry works.
The pair made their first public outing as a couple on Valentine’s Day in 2016 after they enjoyed a date at Tom Kitchin’s Edinburgh restaurant.
Taking to Twitter, Kevin said: “What a feed! Big Tom’s the man!”

Shortly after, Kitchin, 43, posted a picture of the trio standing in the restaurant’s kitchen alongside the comment: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I phoned up Tom Kitchin and got a table for two … Hilarious Kevin Bridges. What a pleasure to cook for you both.”
While Kevin has remained private surrounding his life away from the stage, he has previously said: “She’s [Kerry] a lovely person, brilliant and very supportive and she gets me.
“Tours can be very stressful and she’s always been there.”
Shortly after their wedding in August 2019, a source told The Daily Record: “They both looked so happy, they had a kiss at the top of the church stairs and everyone applauded.
“There were two old-style camper vans parked outside for the bridesmaids and family, as well as a larger bus from a company in Loch Lomond which looked like it was taking guests to their reception.”
Last year, Kevin admitted that he was “relieved” following the news that Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, had pledged to support the arts industry amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
“We have great comedy clubs here that attract thousands of people and top comedians from everywhere.
“I’m relieved the government’s creative arts bailout money is now recognising stand up comedy for everything it contributes to our culture and our economy,” he told The Sun.
Nicola had pledged that £15million would be put aside for the industry after it came to a halt during the initial lockdown period.
