Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne, a Manchester City player, has spoken out about an injury he sustained during his team’s match against Inter Milan in the 2022-23 Champions League final.

Yesterday, Saturday night, City met their counterpart Inter at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of the 2022-23 European Champions League final showdown.

And Spanish star Rodri Hernandez, the City’s player, managed to score his team’s first and only goal against the Italian club in the 68th minute of an exciting match.

Thus, Manchester City, under Spanish coach Josep Guardiola, achieved a treble this season 2022-2023, winning the Premier League and FA Cup, in addition to the Champions League title.

De Bruyne’s Injury

De Bruyne spoke about his injury during post-match press statements, saying, “It was a tough two months, I had a lot of hamstring problems.”

“The team was good enough, but we won, we’ve been working on it for a long time, it’s amazing,” he said.

He concluded: “City haven’t lost in the Champions League this season, it wasn’t their best match, but it’s time to celebrate.”
