After following Kardashians star Kim Kardashian posted his family’s Christmas card photo on Instagram this weekend, fans began to speculate that the mom of four was photoshopping her six-year-old daughter North, in the photo because the lighting on it was different from the rest of the family. During Tuesday’s episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kardashian admitted that everyone was right, and she had to use Photoshop because North refused to be part of the family photo shoot.
In the photo, Kim, her husband Kanye West and their four children – North, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2 and Psalm, 7 months old – all wore gray sweats and white socks sitting on the stairs. And the 39-year-old woman said that bringing all of her children together in one room to smile was a source of serious anxiety.
“North was going through a day, so she refused to participate in the shooting,” Kardashian told DeGeneres. “She was crying just because she wanted her specific hairstyle, whatever. I said, “Okay, you’re not going to be in the card. It’s the decision, you’re not going to be in the card. I’m just going to take the family card without you.” And she was from The next day, she woke up and was like, “Mom, I really want to make a card.” “
Kardashian said North told her she wanted to shoot with her and that she was lucky the photographer was still in town. When she returned home, the photographer photographed Kim and North together, but Kim was not wearing makeup. So they cut it off from the cover, and used an image of North for Photoshop in the family photo.
Kardashian likes how the card turned out, calling it “beautiful.” And, she says she prefers to do it that way because of the anxiety she went through trying to get all the kids to cooperate at the same time.
The KKW Beauty tycoon also explained why she hadn’t joined her extended family for a full photo of Kardashian-Jenner this year. Kardashian said it was “a matter of time” and that it was not his job to get everyone to make a card. Instead, she wanted to take a photo with her husband and children, and it was pretty dramatic.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians has just released its season 17 finale, but the family will be back next year with new episodes on E!. And, Kim Kardashian says his rivalry with Kourtney during season 18 “gets worse before it gets better.”
