Kuwait: two workers die in a fire in a gas liquefaction unit in the port of Ahmadi

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced it had controlled a fire that broke out in a gas liquefaction unit at the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery after the fire brigades dealt with it.

The company on Twitter said: “A fire occurred recently during maintenance operations of the No. 32 gas liquefaction unit at the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, and the company has activated the emergency plan and the fire brigades of the refinery are currently dealing with the fire. “

The company added that the fire killed two workers from injuries sustained as a result of the fire and left a number of injured.

The Al-Ahmadi Refinery is one of two oil refineries owned by the state-run Kuwait National Petroleum Company, which supplies the country with its oil derivatives needs as well as its exports abroad.
