Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has threatened to take action against Iran if the world does not prevent it from obtaining nuclear weapons, stressing that the world needs an alternative plan to deal with Iran.
Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said in an interview with the Russian agency (Sputnik) published today, Friday, that the development of its nuclear capabilities by Iran “is a cause for concern for the countries of the Middle East”.
“People should understand that if Iran gets nuclear weapons, the nuclear arms race will start in Middle East “, added the minister in an interview during his visit to Moscow.
“There will be what can be called a manifestation of the gradual deterioration of the situation in the region if Iran acquires nuclear weapons,” he said, stressing the need to ensure that this never happens.
Interestingly, the Israeli Foreign Minister, in visit to Moscow, he said the day before yesterday that there will be no stability in Syria as long as Iran is present, stressing that the Iranian nuclear program is a major problem in the region.
In his statements from Moscow, Lapid stressed that Israel will not stand by the placement of Iran on its northern borders, and the world must prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear arsenal and, if it fails, Israel will retain its freedom of ‘action.
