Lavrov rejects the “formula of pace” proposed by Zelensky

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday that Moscow would not use the “formula of pace” proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a basis for negotiations, RIA news agency reported.

The foreign minister confirmed on Wednesday that the United States had made it clear to Moscow through diplomatic channels that it did not intend to send experts in Ukraine to operate Patriot air defense systems, according to Russia’s Sputnik news agency.

He also said that Washington has informally suggested Moscow several times to hold meetings, and Moscow has agreed each time, but so far only one meeting has been achieved between the two countries’ foreign intelligence chiefs in Ankara.
