Libya announces the lifting of the force majeure at the port of Zueitina and the temporary resumption of work

Libyan Oil Corporation announced, in a statement today, Sunday, a temporary resumption of work and the lifting of the force majeure at the port of Zueitina.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Corporation asked to be able to immediately resume work at the oil port of Zueitina to reduce inventories and obtain storage capacity.

And the government agency warned in a statement of an “imminent occurrence of an environmental disaster” in the port.

The company declared force majeure at the oil port of Zueitina last week and warned that a “painful wave of closures” due to a political crisis had begun to plague its facilities.

The office media of the National Oil Corporation in Libya claimed, in previously, that Libya is currently losing more than 550,000 barrels a day of oil production due to the blockade imposed on major fields and ports of export.
