Liverpool announce the renewal of the contract of forward Diogo Jota

LONDON: Liverpool Football Club announced today, Tuesday, the signing of a new long-term contract with forward Diogo Jota. And British news agency “BA Media” has learned that 25-year-old Jota, who joined Liverpool in 2020, has signed a new contract that runs until 2027. Jota has starred in Liverpool since joining joined him from Wolverhampton, and scored 34 goals in 85 games, and played a leading role in crowning the team last season with the FA Cup and League Cup and reaching the Champions League final. Jota is currently suffering from a thigh injury and will miss Liverpool’s first game of the new season in the English Premier League, in schedule against Fulham next Saturday. (Dpa)
