Liverpool’s owners are considering selling the clubbut without haste

London: Tom Werner, chairman of Liverpool Football Club, has confirmed that Fenway Sports Group is considering selling the club, but it is possible to keep it for a long time. And British news agency ‘BA Media’ said Fenway Sports Group was trying to attract new investment for the club and did not rule out the possibility of selling the club. In his first public comment on this matter, Werner told the Boston Globe, “We’re considering selling but we’re in no rush, there’s no time for us, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s business as usual. There may be one result and that is to continue to lead the club for a long time”. His partner at Fenway Sports Group revealed there had been significant interest from potential investors looking to buy the club and others seeking a minority stake. (dpa)
