Livestream of Jacinda Ardern on Facebook interrupted by daughter who wont go to bed

Ardern was halfway there met updating viewers on the country’s Covid-19 response when she was disturbed by 3-year- old Neve yells, “Mama?”

“You’re Meant To Be” in bed, dear,” Ardern replied.

“It’s bedtime, honey. Dad back to bed, see you in An second,” they addedbefore you ask her daughter to return to her grandmother.

“Well, that was bedtime” fail, wasn’t it,” she laughed at the camera.

But Neve didn’t take no for an answer: later in the broadcast, the prime minister’s daughter returned.

“I’m sorry, honey, it’s taking so long,” Ardern replied, before announcing she was ending the livestream.

The minister-president struggle undoubtedly struck a chord with parents around the world who have fought to work in to keep a balance of home and childcare.

The pandemic has forced a large segment of the global workforce to continue remote-work experiment on a scale never seen before, blurring the line between work and home lives.
