M5 Earthquake Rocks Maluku Sea in Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit the Moluccas Sea in the western Pacific Ocean today in Indonesia. The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center declared that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 77 kilometers, at the confluence of latitude 2.43 degrees north and longitude 126.10 degrees east.

There were no reports of human or material losses.
