Manchester City beat Newcastle to lead the English Premier League

London: Manchester City led the English Premier League after defeating their host Newcastle 5-0 in the match that brought them together today, Sunday, in the 36th round of the competition. Manchester City advanced with a goal scored by Raheem Sterling in the 19th minute, and Aymeric Laporte added the second goal in the 38th minute, then Rodrigo Hernandez scored the third goal in the 61st minute, then Phil Foden scored the fourth goal in the last minute of the original match time, before Sterling concluded Manchester City goals by scoring the second goal for him and the fifth for his team in the third overtime minute of the match. Manchester City raised their score to 86 points in lead the standings, three points clear of Liverpool, and Newcastle’s balance came to 43 points in thirteenth place. This is Manchester City’s 27th win in championship in this season, compared to defeat in three games and a draw in five.
