Mane beats a record with the Senegalese national team

Berlin: Sadio Mane became Senegal’s all-time top scorer after scoring three goals (hat-trick) during a 3-1 win over Benin on Saturday night in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Ivory Coast. Mane scored two goals on two penalties and secured the third, bringing his tally to 32 goals in 90 matches with his country. Mane, 30, beat the record established by his compatriot Henry Camara, who scored 31 goals for the African champion. Mane’s success came amid growing speculation about his future following another fantastic season at Liverpool under the guidance of German manager Jurgen Klopp. Mane said Friday that he will leave the decision on his future in the hands of the Senegalese people amid news of a possible move to Bayern Munich.
