Mario Party 1 and 2 are Now Available on Nintendo Switch Online

Mario Party and Mario Party 2 are now available to people who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The app for the Nintendo Switch now has two Nintendo 64 games. Mario Party 2 can be played on Wii and Wii U through the Virtual Console. Still, the first Mario Party has not been available on any other Nintendo system since it came out. The fact that the game is being added should be very exciting for people who have never owned an N64 or who have been hoping to play the original game again.

In addition to these two N64 games, Expansion Pack subscribers can also check out new profile icons based on the Nintendo 64 platform. Nintendo has shown designs for several N64 games, such as Super Mario 64, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. You can read Nintendo’s Tweet about the new icons below.

With the games that came out tonight, the Nintendo 64 app now has 21 games initially made for the system. Nintendo has big plans for the app in the next few months, including adding several games. The company hasn’t said if there will be a game for the app in December, but it’s likely to be GoldenEye 007. It was noted that the game would come back, but no date has been given. Nintendo has announced several games for 2023, including 1080 Snowboarding, Mario Party 3, Pokemon Stadium 2, and Pokemon Stadium 2.

When it was first announced, the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online caused a lot of trouble. Many Nintendo fans were unhappy with how much the Expansion Pack cost or what it came with. The company has kept the service going in the past year by releasing a steady stream of old songs. Nintendo has also made some DLC for Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe free for people who have the service. It’s hard to say if the service has started to win over fans, but it’s been nice to see a steady stream of content!
