“I make no comment about this other than what I’ve been telling you the last two years, I’ve always only got one year at a time and kind of re-evaluated every offseason,” he said in a conference news, “then find the things I want to improve and continue.”

Brees, who went 26 of 33 for 208 yards with a touchdown and a touchdown, said Minnesota was better than New Orleans.

“It was a tough football match, we were playing a very good team and obviously they came ready to play and eventually made more games than we did,” he said.

“I love the way we fought in the fourth quarter (forcing OT after falling behind 20-10). In fact we didn’t play our best football up to that point, but we did have some good moves at that time and we put ourselves in a position to win.
