The preview for Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man #21 reveals new clues about the breakup between Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson. Mary Jane is shown with her new partner, Paul, and two children when a villain known as the “Scribble Man” appears. She calls Peter to tell him “he’s back”. The circumstances that led to their breakup have been a mystery since Amazing Spider-Man #1. Peter has been pushed aside by former colleagues and friends due to an unknown event that occurred in New York City and seemingly has ties to the Scribble Man and Mary Jane. He has since grown close to Black Cat/Felicia Hardy, viewing Mary Jane as a “sister” or “best friend”. Amazing Spider-Man #21 releases on March 8, 2023, from Marvel Comics.
