In the video, on sees Nick Fury, the former director of SHIELD, in mission unofficial to save humanity from a invasion Skrull. It’s about a race alien who has the particularity of being “shapeshifter”, that is to say that she can take on the appearance of anyone (like on see it in picture). In addition to Samuel L. Jackson as the title character, on will be able to find Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) or even James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). It will also feature Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman (The Crown) as Sonya Falsworth, an MI6 agent. Ben Mendelsohn will once again play the antagonist Talos, General Skrull. Exploring the Blip and Phase 5 of the MCU
Secret Invasion has several peculiarities. First of all, this is the first series of the phase 5 of the MCU. Then, for the first time, the adventures will take place during “the Blip”, ie when half of the Universe was decimated by Thanos. “She will explore the events that happened during this period,” explains son creator Kevin Feige. He also specifies that unlike the “Snap” (in Avengers Infinity War), which corresponds to the snap of Thanos’ fingers, this event takes place place between this gesture and the resurrection of our heroes, by the Hulk.
A New Strategy for Disney
Just like other series, Secret Invasion suffered many problems due to Marvel’s complicated schedule. It was originally scheduled for May. For Disney, it is above all cause of a new strategy implemented place. “We want MCU projects to really stand out. So people will see that as we move through Phases 5 and 6, the rate at which we deliver Disney+ shows will change, so they can each have a chance to shine,” explained Kevin Feige. As a result, Loki season 2 or What if season 2 have also been postponed..
