Miller: "Gazprom" Reached an approximately new level of gas transportation to China

The head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, said that this giant Russian company, with the arrival on January 1, had reached a fundamentally new level in the field of gas supplies to China.

According to him, last year, at the request of the Chinese side, supply operations were carried out in volumes exceeding the contractual ones, which made it possible to fulfill the terms of the agreements with a noticeable increase.

He added: “Also, at the request of the Chinese side, on December 31, that is, a few days ahead of schedule, we proceeded to deliver the daily volumes stipulated by the contract for the next year. On January 1, 2023, Gazprom moved to a completely new level in gas supplies to China.

In 2022, Gazprom announced several times that it would set records in the field of gas supplies to China. The last time it was on December 28, when the volume of supplies was 18.7% more than agreed.

According to the company, the total volume of Russian gas exported to China is 48 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
