Money Heist: Korea Release Date?
It was confirmed on April 29 that Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area will premiere on Netflix worldwide on June 24, 2022, with a new teaser released that day.
Who Is Directing Money Heist: Korea?
B.H. Entertainment and Content Zium are the company responsible for producing this project. Kim Hong-sun, who is best known for directing the Korean dramas “The Guest” and “L.U.C.A.: The Beginning,” will be leading the new cast and crew. Ryu Yong-Jae, who is writing the screenplay, will be in charge of crafting the narrative and coming up with the complex robbery that will serve as the show’s primary plot point.
What Is The Money Heist: Korea Plot?
Since the Korean version will be a new take on the original, well-liked Netflix show, it will have the same structure as the original. This means that a group of thieves led by the Professor will try to pull off an elaborate heist without getting caught. But, as the official title suggests, the show will likely talk about the social and economic problems on both sides of the Korean border. “Joint Economic Area” could reference the Joint Security Area, a demilitarized zone where North and South Korea stand against each other.
Money Heist: Korea Tailer
Along with the news that filming would end in early 2022, a teaser trailer was released with a first look at the cast and the official title of the Korean version: Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. In it, we see the Professor (Yoo Ji-Tae) in a quiet office, looking at a wall full of traditional Korean masks. These masks are often used in dance-drama performances as part of Korean shamanist rites. These masks are next to the conventional Salvador Dal mask, making us wonder if the series might start using a different mask as its trademark. Before the teaser trailer cuts to the actors who will play the well-known roles from the Spanish show, we also see the task force working on the heist investigation.
What is the Episode Count?
There will be 12 episodes in the first season, and each will be about an hour long. This is about the same as how many episodes were in the first two seasons of the Spanish show before Netflix picked it up for the last three seasons.
You can watch all five seasons of Money Heist on Netflix while waiting for Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area to come out. Two documentaries on the streaming platform show what went on behind the scenes to make the show so popular.
