Morocco beat Liberia 2-0

Istanbul: Morocco beat Liberia 2-0 on Monday in Group 11 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. club Turkish Sivasspor, from the penalty, and Youssef Al-Nusairi Najm Seville, Spain, in the 56th and 57th minutes. The match took place at the Mohammed V sports complex, after the Liberian Federation requested that its matches take place during the qualifiers in Morocco, due to the lack of a suitable stadium standard international in Liberia. Morocco started their qualifying campaign with a major win over South Africa, with two goals to one, in the capital Rabat, at the Prince Moulay Abdallah stadium. Morocco is in leading the group standings with 6 points, South Africa and Liberia finished second and third without points, while Zimbabwe was excluded from the qualifiers by decision of the African Union. The CAF had announced the exclusion of Zimbabwe and Kenya from qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, due to the continued suspension of the Federation of the two countries by the International Football Association, against the backdrop of government interference in the game.
