The Moscow Exchange indices rose in trading on Friday, which coincided with the growth of the Russian currency against the US and European currencies.
By 17:19 Moscow time, the MICEX index, denominated in rubles, rose by 0.62% to 2146.30 points.
Meanwhile, the exchange index of shares denominated in dollars, RTS, rose by 0.75% to 1114.5 points, according to the Moscow Exchange.
This was accompanied by an appreciation of the Russian currency, as the dollar fell by 14 kopecks (ruble = 100 kopecks) to 60.51 rubles, and the euro fell by 43 kopecks to 62.22 rubles.
