London: A news story has claimed that Jose Mourinho, manager of Italian soccer club Roma, wants to return to training in the English Premier League. And the British newspaper “Daily Mail” indicated that Mourinho hopes to return to work in England next season, in light of his frustration with the lack of financial support in Rome. The newspaper pointed out that Chelsea’s return to coaching for a third time could be an ideal scenario for Mourinho, as his reps have revealed that he would be keen to coach the London team if he were given the opportunity to do so. This is despite the fact that Chelsea FC have expressed their support for their current manager, Graham Potter. Mourinho’s wife and children still live in London, and the Portuguese coach has always preferred to work in England rather than in other. Mourinho led Roma’s side to crown the European Conference League title last season, and the squad is currently fifth in the Italian league, but may not have enough ingredients to compete for the title. And the “Daily Mail” has indicated that the West Ham team manager post could be vacant shortly, in light of David Moyes’ suffering. (dpa)
