Seventy-two volumes of the Naruto series by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto were published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump between 1999 and 2014. As he aspires to take charge of his village, the narrative follows the titular orange-clad ninja. Naruto, which originally had 220 episodes between 2002 and 2007, and Naruto Shippuden, which initially had 500 episodes between 2007 and 2017, were both anime series created by Studio Pierrot from Kishimoto’s manga.

Between 2001 and 2016, Weekly Shnen Jump ran serializations of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga series. The story of the 74-volume manga centers on the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school dropout with the gift of seeing ghosts. Kubo’s story was also adapted by Pierrot, who created an anime that ran for 366 episodes from 2004 to 2014.
