NBA 2019 Christmas Schedule: What Are The Basketball Games Today? TV channels, hours, ratings

The NBA’s annual Christmas Day tradition continues with a full five-game plaque, including a Western Conference championship match between the Clippers and the Lakers. But before LeBron James and Antonis Davis fight Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, there should be plenty of fun, as some of the league’s top stars are up against it.

Here’s the full NBA program for Christmas Day, including channels, rollover periods, and what’s worth watching in every game.

Celtics against predators

It’s worth seeing: What forwards will stand out?

There are many new talents on the wing here.

Pascal Siakam has quickly emerged as the Raptors’ top scorer with Leonard passing and has a strong case to win yet another Most Improved Player award. OG Anunoby has bounced back after a lack of Toronto 2019 league runs after an appendectomy, averaging double digits and shooting around 40 percent from the 3-point range. In Boston, both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum regularly publish 20-point games and work well with Kemba Walker. It is clear that Brown and Tatum could be many stars many times over the next decade.

This combination of the Atlantic Division could ultimately be decided by one of these fronts, especially if they were assigned to guard one another.

Bucks vs. 76ers

  • Time: 2:30 pm ET
  • TV channel: ABC

It’s worth seeing: Can the size of the Sixers slow down John Antetokounba?

“The Greek Freak” will face plenty of competition for the MVP trophy before the end of the season, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see him go back and forth. Antetokounmpo has improved its scoring, rebounding and outside shooting, which is incredible considering its level of play in 2018-19. The Bucks are a juggernaut at the Eastern Conference and Antetokounmpo is the biggest reason why.

Philadelphia is built around as well as any team to slow it down. The Sixers can throw enormous size into Antetokounmpo with Ben Simmons, Al Horford and Joel Embiid. Is Brett Brown willing to let Matisse Thybulle shoot John’s defense with his wings and quick hands, or is it too much for the rookie to handle?

Missiles against Warriors

  • Time: 5 pm ET
  • TV channel: ABC
  • Live Stream: Watch ESPN

It’s worth seeing: Will James Harden try to score a million points?

Yes, you might suck during this exam, given the situation of the Warriors. However, you should at least pay attention to the Harden line.

The seven-time All-Star has already played 59 and 60 points this season and has played no more than 38 minutes in each game. If that contest stays relatively close – or the Rockets just want revenge for past playoff elimination – Harden may be within range of his career (61).

Clippers vs. Lakers

  • Time: 8 pm ET
  • TV channel: ABC
  • Live Stream: Watch ESPN

It’s worth seeing: How often will we see LeBron vs. Kawhi?

Davis and George will play important roles in the outcome of the Staples Center supremacy race, but there is nothing as exciting as James and Leonard going one-on-one. At the season opener, Los Angeles crowds dived every time the superstars were face to face.

Since the Clippers got this game, the Lakers have run the rest of the league with the Clips not far behind. This quickly turns into a fun rivalry, and LeBron and Kawhi are right in the center.

Pelicans vs. Pelicans Nuggets

  • Time: 10:30 pm ET
  • TV channel: ESPN
  • Live Stream: Watch ESPN

It’s worth seeing: Will Zion Williams be in the lineup?

The total option no. 1 has not yet played in the first regular season game. Williams continues to recover after arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus, and the Pelicans are (apparently) cautious about his return date.

If Williamson is available on Christmas Day, the 10:30 slot suddenly becomes much more interesting. If it’s out, this should be nothing more than a comfortable Nuggets win.
