Negotiations with “Mercedes-Benz” to strengthen its investments in the Egyptian market

Gamea added that the political leadership in Egypt pays great attention to stimulating the localization of the auto industry and its food industries at the local level and to reach the largest possible percentage of local production and production, emphasizing that the Egyptian market “has all the ingredients that qualify it to become an important center. for the production of automobiles in Middle East and the African continent “.

For his part, Gerd Peterlich, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt, confirmed that the company supports the Egyptian government’s indications towards the localization of the automotive industry and considers the Egyptian market a promising market and an important hub. in Middle East for the production of Mercedes-Benz automobiles, noting that the company has experienced significant growth in the Egyptian market in recent years, where it is currently in phase of completion of the company’s logistics center in the economic zone of the Suez Canal on aarea of 20,000 meters, and the company has increased the number of its agents in the Egyptian market, in addition to local production of four-wheel drive vehicles GLE and GLS, reflecting the company’s interest in expanding the scope of its activity in the Egyptian market at the present stage.
