Netflix: Black Summer season 2 is coming to Netflix: June 17, 2021

Black Summer introduced us to the zombie apocalypse that would lead to the SYFY series Z Nation. Now it’s time to watch Black Summer season 2.

If you thought the hardest part of a zombie apocalypse is surviving the initial wave of zombies, think again. We’ve already see the fight for survival and how hard it is on Z Nation. Now it’s time to see how it gets harder for one woman.

Black Summer season 2 is coming to Netflix tonight. It’s dropping tonight at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT.

All eight episodes will drop at once. It’s going to make a great mid-week binge-watch.

What is Black Summer season 2 about?

The first season followed Jaime King’s Rose as she fought for survival. After being separated from her daughter because her husband is infected with the zombie virus, she does everything she can to be reunited with her.

Along the way, she has to figure out who she can trust. Some of those she comes across don’t have the most innocent of motives, and others are too distrustful of people for her to trust. There’s a huge range of emotions, but in the end, she and her daughter were reunited.

Now it’s time for the next part of the journey. It’s now winter, and the zombies are just one of the problems on the rise. A militia puts everyone’s lives at risk, especially when the group of survivors find a house to take cover in from the snow that threatens to freeze them all.

Of course, there are still the zombies to deal with. This is the Z Nation prequel after all! This is a series of survival, and it’s definitely scary.

And we also have a lot of questions from the first season’s finale. The biggest are all about Spears, who managed to survive but shared nothing about his past. Just why was he arrested before the apocalypse started and why did he take on the alias of a soldier? Will we find out in the second season?
