Netflix: Bridgerton season 2 is not coming to Netflix in August 2021

Following the immense success of the first season, the Netflix original series Bridgerton‘s second season became one of the most highly anticipated follow-up seasons of the decade right after Stranger Things and You.

The anticipation is certainly warranted given the fact that the series includes so many talented actresses and actors, such as Regé-Jean Page.

However, once it was announced that Page would not return to the show‘s sophomore season, many were gutted at the idea of not seeing Simon Basset on their screens anymore.

Well, it looks like fans are going to have to brace themselves for even more somber news as it appears that Bridgerton season 2 is not coming to Netflix in August 2021.

Bridgerton season 2 release date predictions

Unfortunately, at the moment, there has yet to be an official release date for the original series. However, we predict that a release date next spring or summer would be fitting for this bright and upbeat show.

Needless to say, being that this is only a prediction, there is a chance that the release date could be pushed back to a much later date than anyone anticipated. After all, the second season has been delayed before for reasons that no one saw coming.

Bridgerton‘s production schedule was initially put on pause following a COVID outbreak on set, but thankfully, it was announced earlier today that filming has resumed and that the cast and crew are in good shape, ready to bring fans an amazing second season.

Of course, we can’t help but wonder what season 2 would look like now that the story has shifted to a different protagonist, but we’re sure that showrunner Chris Van Dusen will work his magic again.

While you wait for some news on season 2’s release date, be sure to watch every episode of Bridgerton streaming only on Netflix to be all caught up for the upcoming season.
