Netflix: Chicago Med is coming to Netflix on July 22, 2021

If you’re looking for something new to watch on Netflix, there are plenty of new release movies and shows coming in August, including the complete series of both 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights. But ahead of the August rush, another NBC series is coming to Netflix: Chicago Med.

What’s on Netflix got the scoop that Chicago Med would be bringing an as of yet undisclosed amount of its seasons to the streaming platform on July 22, 2021. Just like when the first two seasons of fellow NBC series Manifest dropped on Netflix, we are getting less than 24 hours notice.

Chicago Med first premiered on NBC in November 2015 as part of the network’s Chicago franchise from Dick Wolf, which also includes Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire and the short-lived Chicago Justice. The series has aired six seasons with its seventh debuting on NBC this fall.

The cast of Chicago Med has included Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Torrey DeVitto, Rachel DiPillo, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Norma Kuhling and Dominica Rains. There’s no doubt Netflix fans will love this cast and their characters.

Is Chicago Med on Netflix?

Chicago Med hasn’t been available on Netflix until July 22, 2021. The series continues to stream on Hulu and Peacock, with both platforms housing a varied number of seasons of the hit show. However, the series will now be available for Netflix subscribers for the first time.

Ahead of Chicago Med’s arrival on Netflix, it’s unclear if all 119 episodes of the series that have aired so far will be available to stream, but we’ll be sure to keep fans in the loop. Whether it’s just a few seasons or the whole lot, there’s no doubt the series is worth watching.

It’s also unclear whether any of the other Chicago franchise from Dick Wolf will soon become available on Netflix. Wolf’s expansive library of shows were a main draw for NBCUniversal’s launch of their Peacock streaming service, but it doesn’t hurt to share the wealth with Netflix.

Stay tuned for more new and updates from Netflix Life, and be sure to start streaming Chicago Med on Netflix beginning on July 22.
