Netflix: Edens Zero release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more

Who’s ready for some new anime this year? We know we are super excited as Netflix announced a plethora of anime coming this year!

Some oldies but goodies are returning to the streaming platform to release seasons like The Seven Deadly Sins and Beastars, but there are a few interesting new anime series coming your way as well. In particular, an anime called Edens Zero.

Get your sci-fi glasses ready as we tell you everything to know about this upcoming Netflix new release down below.

Edens Zero release date

The anime series was released in Japan earlier this year back in April 2021 and is still in the process of airing new episodes with the series currently being on its ninth episode.

While airing, Netflix acquired the streaming rights to Edens Zero and will distribute the anime to Netflix users on August 26, 2021. Check out the official announcement for the upcoming release via Netflix Geeked down below!

Edens Zero cast

The cast for this upcoming anime features some very familiar names you may have seen in your favorite series. The cast for Edens Zero is as follows:

  • Takuma Terashima as Shiki Granbell
  • Mikako Komatsu as Rebecca Bluegarden
  • Rie Kugimiya as Happy
  • Shiori Izawa as  E.M. Pino
  • Shiki Aoki as Homura Kogetsu
  • Hochu Otsuka as Ziggy

Additionally, One Punch Man voice actor Hiromichi Tezuka, Kiyono Yasuno, and Haikyuu!! voice actor Daisuke Namikawa as Weisz Steiner, Witch Regret, and Justice, respectively.

Edens Zero synopsis

Edens Zero tells the story of an orphan boy named Shiki Granbell who has always lived in a mysterious robot-filled amusement park.

His loneliness is met with some joy as Rebecca and her cat, Happy, join him on an adventure to explore the park together. However, the good times don’t last for long as they are all suddenly abducted by people who may be up to no good.

Setting the goal to make 100 friends, Shiki and his new friends embark on the journey to escape from their captors but must become stronger to do so.
