The release of the exciting second trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Venom: Let There be Carnage has renewed the public’s interest in witnessing what its successful predecessor has to offer. Among the many fans intrigued to watch the original Sony Marvel flick based on the infamous Spider-Man villain, it’s the Netflix subscribers that are probably wondering whether or not Venom occupies a spot on the streamer’s stacked roster.
Venom features Tom Hardy as the titular character and also featured a stellar cast including Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate and Reid Scott. The 2018 solo, live-action motion picture directed by Ruben Fleischer, who is known for Zombieland and being an executive producer for Superstore, was not well-received by critics but ended up defying the odds by becoming a box office success, raking in an impressive $856 million worldwide, as well as setting several records at the box office for the month of October.
Of course, because of this, a sequel was greenlit with Andy Serkis at the helm and Woody Harrelson set to play the character’s archenemy in the appropriately named follow-up Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The sequel comes out in the fall of 2021, so it makes sense that fans would be very interested in reliving all the memorable moments from the original as soon as possible.
There are a lot of reasons to check out the motion picture Venom, including the action sequences and Hardy’s well-crafted dual performance as both Eddie Brock and the titular alien symbiote. The subscribers on Netflix are right to probe as to whether or not it’s available on the streaming service as there are always so many titles to choose from, finding what one is looking for can sometimes be an overwhelming ordeal.
Is Venom available on Netflix?
There is no fun way to explain to people the less than ideal news regarding whether or not the beloved Marvel villain’s first live-action solo film is on Netflix. Of the many options on the streaming service, Venom is most certainly not one of them.
Subscribers shouldn’t cancel their subscriptions to the popular streamer just because Venom isn’t in the lineup. There are several other excellent choices to enjoy on Netflix, including The Umbrella Academy, Jupiter’s Legacy, The Old Guard, Project Power, and more!
Where you can watchVenom
The Sony Marvel film Venom is not available on any subscription streamings service. Forbes claims it could very well make its way to a Disney-owned streaming service, which will most likely be Hulu, but everyone will have to wait and see if that plays out.
However, Venom is available with Sling TV, Hulu TV and YouTube TV. In addition, the feature is also available on VOD platforms like Apple TV, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Vudu and Google Play.
