Virgin River season 3 premiered on Netflix over a month ago, and we still haven’t stopped thinking about all of those cliffhangers. Seriously, how can we not spend our days pondering what’s next for Mel and Jack in Virgin River season 4 and, of course, who shot Jack?
Don’t worry, Jack wasn’t shot again in Virgin River season 3. We’re still in the midst of the mystery that concluded season 2, which found Jack lying on the bar floor after a near-fatal encounter with an as-yet mysterious assailant. Even though, Brady was arrested, he insists he didn’t pull the trigger.
Recently, Virgin River star Benjamin Hollingsworth spoke with Hollywood Life about his character Brady’s role in the infamous shooting and, get this, Hollingsworth spilled that he knows the real identity of who shot Jack. Could it actually be Brady, or is he being framed?
Fingers crossed that Netflix announces a renewal for Virgin River season 4 soon to confirm that answers about one of the small town’s biggest questions are on the way. Until then, we’ll have to continue theorizing what’s to come with new details and information from Hollingsworth.
Did Brady shoot Jack in Virgin River?
Hollingsworth tells Hollywood Life that he doesn’t believe Brady shot Jack, even though the gun was found in his truck. In the season 3 finale, Brady was arrested for the crime, and no one believed his protests that he was being falsely accused.
Currently, Virgin River viewers don’t know who shot Jack, but some might believe that Brady pulled that trigger. According to Hollingsworth, he and co-star Martin Henderson are privy to the information that all fans want to know. He said:
“You know, in the recent weeks. I have also been told who supposedly shot Jack. I think the punishment is they cut off your tongue if you say it, so I can’t tell you.”
Obviously, he’s not going to spoil the potential season 4‘s huge mystery, but we’re inclined to agree with Hollingsworth that his character is being framed for the crime. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if a certain detective with a crush on Brady’s girlfriend, Brie, was the one doing the framing.
Will Brady go to jail in Virgin River season 4?
In his interview with Hollywood Life, Hollingsworth also shared a small glance into what’s to come for Brady post-arrest, including whether he’d be behind bars for season 4. He says showrunner Sue Tenney assured him that Brady would remain an integral part of the series moving forward.
Whether Brady goes to jail remains to be seen, but it’s certainly going to be an uphill battle for the misunderstood townie as he fights to clear his name and rebuild his reputation. Not to mention, he will definitely have to put in overtime to win back Brie if he’s exonerated.
Do you think Brady shot Jack? If not, who do you think did it? Do you agree with Benjamin Hollingsworth that Brady’s being framed? Share all your hopes and predictions for Virgin River season 4 in the comments, and stay tuned for more news and updates!
