Lupin Part 2, starring Omar Sy, Vincent Londez, Ludivine Sagnier, Hervé Pierre, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, and Etan Simon, is coming back after a six month hiatus on Friday, June 11. The French show follows Assane Diop, a master thief who pulls heists as a way to avenge his father.
Assane uses his love of the fictional thief, Arsène Lupin, to pull off unbelievably complicated heists. One minute, you think he’s finally been caught, but the next minute, it all turns out to be part of the original plan. The heists (along with the cast) are definitely one of the reasons the show is such a hit.
The last time we saw Assane (spoilers ahead!), he, along with his ex, was frantically searching for their son, Raoul, who had just been kidnapped by Assane’s greatest enemy, Hubert Pellegrini.
But being an evil villain is nothing new for Pellegrini. Besides stealing children, he also has a part in the death of Assane’s father. If Assane wanted revenge before, he for sure is going to want revenge now! It’s going to be so good.
Lupin Part 2 release time
Lupin part 2 will hit Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PST or 3:01 a.m. EST. If you’re on the West coast, you can probably get in an episode or two, but us east coasters will have to wait until the next morning to see how Assane gets his son back and how he enacts his revenge on Pellegrini.
While we wait for the next part to hit Netflix, make sure to check out the trailer here:
Based on the trailer alone, Assane is going to be once again working a suit, teaming up with his friend, Benjamin Ferel, trying to stay out of police custody, and, of course, saving his son.
And according to Omar Sy, part 2 will not be the last part of Lupin. Part 3 will be coming out sometime in the future. Hopefully, part 2 doesn’t end on an epic cliffhanger like the first part did.
