WhatsApp is working on secret features it has never used before as it prepares to launch its chat contact in so that users can access them directly.
The owner of the Meta company that owns the app hasn’t announced anything official yet, but the conversation is expected to be a bot-powered mechanism, rather than having human responses.
It also appears that messages will be end-to-end encrypted like all messages sent via WhatsApp.
Chat with WhatsApp
A leaked screenshot appeared on WABetaInfo, showing the official WhatsApp account with a verified green checkmark.
And in bottom it says: “Only WhatsApp can send messages”.
While a description popped up in the chat saying, “This is where you can get tips, watch ads, and learn about the latest features. Directly from us.”
Green check mark
“Official chats will always have a verified green check and we will never ask for your personal information.”
But it’s unclear when WhatsApp intends to roll out the new feature.
Interestingly, those who wish to try out the new WhatsApp features, before making them available to everyone, can join the WhatsApp beta via the Google Play Store from their Android devices.
Joining the WhatsApp beta on iPhone is more difficult and has limited capacity.
