If you were hoping that Grey’s Anatomy featured a fun cameo appearance from a Seattle Seahawks team member, then we’re sorry to disappoint you, but Jermaine “The Tank” Talbott is a fictional character created for the show.

The Seahawks are obviously a real professional football team and part of the NFL. The team is based out of Seattle, Washington, which is where Grey’s Anatomy takes place, so it makes sense why the writers chose the Seahawks to integrate into the show.

Actor Catfish Jean portrays Jermaine on the show and snagged a three-episode arc as one of the patients. His character Jermaine is a Haitian who came to Seattle to train for football. Jean shares some similarities with his on-screen character. He’s a Haitian-American that grew up in Miami, Florida. Besides Grey’s Anatomy, you might have seen him in the recent Oscar-nominated film To Leslie, which is also streaming on Netflix.
