About Romy Hausmann
Romy Hausmann, a 42-year-old author, previously worked as an editor-in-chief at a production company and remains active in the television industry. She found tremendous success when she ventured into writing. She has written three novels to date, with Liebes Kind being her debut. The book was a resounding success and even won the Crime Cologne Award. Netflix has since adapted Liebes Kind into a series, and more adaptations may follow. Hausmann resides in the woods near Stuttgart, where she continues to write.
Liebes Kind: From Book to Dutch Adaptation
Liebes Kind has been translated into several languages, including Dutch. The Dutch version of Liebes Kind is titled “Dag en Nacht” (Day and Night). This was Romy Hausmann’s first book. She also wrote “Een Perfecte Dag” (A Perfect Day) and “Slapeloos” (Sleepless). These books are also available in Dutch and delve into intense themes.

Will There Be a Sequel to Liebes Kind on Netflix?
Netflix has not yet announced any plans for a potential sequel to Liebes Kind (Dear Child). A second season is unlikely. However, there is a possibility that one of Romy Hausmann’s other books may be adapted, although no deal has been made between the streaming service and the author.
