NFL Order Plan 2020: Bengals clinche No. 1 pick; Redskins, Lions slide in front of Giants, dolphins

The Bengals can go ahead and submit their selection for the overall option no. 1 in the Draft NFL 2020? There is no reason to waste all of our time in the next four months.

With the Week 16 loss in Miami overtime, Cincinnati won the top pick for the April draft on Sunday. There is no doubt that the Bengals will select LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first pick, so the focus is on No. 2.

Based on Week 16 results, this option now belongs to the Redskins thanks to their overtime loss to the Giants. The wins for New York and Miami also opened the door for Detroit to slip to No. 3 if it loses in Denver on Sunday afternoon.

Washington plays Dallas in Week 17, so if the Cowboys don’t rest their key starters when they win the NFC East and win the playoffs, the Redskins will remain in place for the N2 overall pick in the NFL 2020.

Below is the updated NFL Draft series for 2020 through the first week of Sunday’s 16th week.

(The teams that have been drafted in Pick Nos. 21-32 are currently in the NFL playoff picture.)

In Sporting News’ latest NFL sports plan for 2020, the Bengals are actually landing Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick. 1.

“Aggressive coach Jacques Taylor needs a suburban franchise with Andy Dalton fading and Ryan Finley not showing much,” writes Vinnie Iyer of SN. “Burrow enjoys a meteoric rise as a Heisman Trophy winner and a top prospect QB in this category. At 6-3, 215 pounds, he combines his mental and physical endurance in the pocket with a strong hand and accurate delivery.”

That fake draft was released when the Giants came in at No. 2 overall, where we had selected Ohio State defensive end Chase Young to increase their rush. If they don’t question Dwayne Haskins’ future in 2019, the Redskins are likely to take Young at No. 2.

If their place in the order were to stick and if the Bengals had to pick Burrow, the Dolphins would probably have their pick from the other quarterbacks, from Justin Herbert of Oregon to Jalen Hurts of Oklahoma at Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama. Their most recent fake has to do with Tagovailoa.
