NHL All-Star Weekend 2020: How does the last men’s vote work?

On Monday, the NHL released full All-Star schedules for each of its four segments, ahead of All-Star Weekend on January 24-25, but one spot in each group remains vacant.

For the second consecutive season, the league will allow fans to select the final four players from a list of 31 determined by the league’s hockey division. The highest rated voters in each division (each NHL team will have one candidate) will be added to the list of the respective team.

The title “Last Men In,” will be released to the public on January 1 at 12pm. ET via the NHL website and mobile app and closes January 10 at 11:59 pm ET.

What is the last men’s vote?

This is the second season in which the NHL has held its last vote for men – where fans can choose the final four players to participate in the All-Star Weekend.

Between January 1 at 12 pm ET and January 10 at 11:59 pm ET, fans can only select one player per vote and up to four players per vote. Each fan can hold up to 10 ballots within 24 hours of the time the New Year’s ballot opens and closes on 10 January.

How does the last men’s vote work?

The hockey division of the league selected 31 players – one from each team – who did not make the starting lists of all the stars to be the last men’s candidate. Fans will be able to vote for these players from 1 January at 12 noon. ET and January 10 at 11:59 pm ET.

When the vote is over, the tallest voters in each section will be placed on the section lists for All-Star Weekend.

How can fans vote for Last Men at the NHL All-Star Weekend?

Polls will open on the NHL website and on the mobile app. Friends can only select one player per vote and four players per vote. Each fan can hold up to 10 ballots within 24 hours of the time the New Year’s ballot opens and closes on 10 January.
