Nintendo Switch owners should head over to the eShop
Nintendo Switch fans can save big on games as part of the latest eShop sale.
The Nintendo Switch Blockbuster Sale is live from now until October 3 on the Nintendo eShop.
As part of the sale, Nintendo Switch owners can make savings on first-party Switch games.
With Nintendo developed games rarely receiving discounts or losing their value, it’s definitely worth checking out the eShop to see what’s on offer.
The Blockbuster Sale includes games like Mario Odyssey and Link’s Awakening, as well as the excellent 51 Worldwide Games.
“The Blockbuster Sale has kicked off on Nintendo eShop! Save up to 75% on your next Nintendo Switch game, including titles like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, 51 Worldwide Games, and more until October 3rd!” reads a Nintendo post.
Despite the description, some games – like Super Bomberman R – have been discounted by more than 90%.
The aforementioned multiplayer party game is down to just £4.49, while This War of Mine Complete Edition is reduced from £35.99 to just £3.23.
Other eShop highlights include Civilization 6 for £7.49, Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for £9.99, and South Park: The Fractured But Hole for £12.99.
Mortal Kombat XL is down to £15.99, which is the same price as The Outer Worlds and BioShock Collection.
As for the first-party games, titles like Mario Odyssey, Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Splatoon 2 are all £33.29.
Crash Bandicoot fans are also in for a treat, as N Sane Trilogy is down to £17.49 and Crash Team Racing is reduced to £14.
The sale launches just a few days after the latest Nintendo Direct conference, which was packed with big announcements.
Not only were fans given a look at the likes of Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but Nintendo also confirmed plans to add a new tier to Switch Online.
Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack will give subscribers the chance to play a selection of N64 and Mega Drive games.
“Play a growing library of Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games anytime, anywhere with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, a new membership launching in late October,” reads a Nintendo tweet.
This includes games like Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64 and Sin and Punishment on N64, as well as Zelda Ocarina of Time and Mario Tennis.
On the Mega Drive side of things, games include Streets of Rage 2, Gunstar Heroes and Phantasy Star 4.
