Nutritionist warns against foods high in hidden sugar

Elena Solomatina, a Russian nutrition expert, warned against foods containing high levels of hidden sugar.

In an interview with the Vechernyaya Moskva newspaper, the expert points out that among these materials there are honey, sweet fruits and fruits.

She adds that bananas, persimmons and grapes are very high in sugar. And that honey has a high percentage of fructose sugar, which does not stimulate insulin secretion, which means it is useful for patients with type 1 diabetes, but on the other hand causes weight gain.

An expert warns against high glycemic foods such as soft pasta, white rice, sausages, sauces and sauces.

She adds that excessive consumption of foods high in hidden sugar leads to high blood glucose levels, which in addition to weight gain causes vascular damage and the risk of insulin resistance or diabetes.
