Sources have said that battlefield 2042’s next mid-season event will occur on December 22.
The event will be similar to October “Liquidators” event and will last until January 10, 2023.
It’s believed the new event, just like the Liquidators event, will feature new game modes, skins, and other cosmetics.
Popular Battlefield data miner temporyal has already discovered eight new skins coming to the event. One set of skins is a part of a “Black Storm” unit and will feature four epic rarity skins:
- Death (Casper)
- Pestilence (Falck)
- War (Mackay)
- Famine (Lis)
The other four skins found will be a part of a group called the “Nordvik Control Corps” and will feature:
- Bulwark (Boris)
- Archangel (Sundance)
- Dominant Eye (Lis)
- Overseer (Irish)
All other details on what the new event entails have yet to be found or announced officially. However, judging the past event announcement, we could see a new trailer for the event on December 15.
After the mid-season event, EA has said that the next update is scheduled for the end of January, which is believed to be updated 3.2. Update 3.2 will be the long-awaited reintroduction of Classes to Battlefield 2042.
On Battlefield 2042 Specialists and its future update, DICE has said:
“All of our current Specialists will be assigned roles with clear objectives and given a selection of tools and gear that best serve their needs on the battlefield. Our Season 4 Specialist will belong to the Recon class, though we won’t reveal them today. Additionally, this will be the last specialist we intend to introduce to Battlefield 2042. We are pleased with the number of Specialists and the variety of gameplay they will allow you to experience, thanks to the return of Classes and our roster of 14 overall.
“So our focus will be listening to your feedback to expand the sandbox in other ways, including bringing design and balance changes for your class-based combat and expanding on skins and cosmetics to give you more ways to stand out on the battlefield,” the developer said.
