On behalf of the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, leads the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attending the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit in its thirty-first session, to be held today, Tuesday in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs left today for Algeria, to head the delegation of the Kingdom, which includes His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraji, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for International Relations Dr. Al-Arabiya, Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al-Juma, and the Director General of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.

The participation of the Kingdom delegation in the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level confirms the Kingdom’s active role in promoting the process of joint Arab action and its firm positions in the face of many common challenges facing the Arab region and the world, in particularly stressing the importance of accelerating a fair and comprehensive settlement of the issue as well as reviewing the Kingdom’s efforts to communicate with the (Russian-Ukrainian) parties to the crisis to find a political solution leading to the end of the crisis and the cessation of military operations .

The Kingdom delegation, led by His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will discuss the latest developments on Arab affairs, in particular the crisis in Yemen, and the Kingdom’s support for all the ways that will lead to allowing the Yemeni Presidential Council to play its roles, in order to achieve a pace sustainable among brothers in Yemen on the basis of the three references, including the Security Council Resolution (2216).

The agenda of the meetings discusses the Iranian interference file in a number of Arab countries and the Iranian nuclear program, as the Kingdom reiterates its position calling for the importance of intensifying and redoubling international efforts to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction in Middle East, as well as calling on Iran to cooperate fully with the Agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and to take serious steps to build trust between it, the Arab countries and the international community.

The meeting points will also include a review of the organization of Expo 2030 by the Kingdom and the support of Arab countries for the Kingdom dossier, which carries many sustainable development goals, which will bring more growth, prosperity and prosperity to the Arab region. .
