Overwatch 2 Heroes Will Be Free at Release, Starting in Season 10 in Mid-April
Check out the exciting news for Overwatch 2 fans! Starting in mid-April with Season 10, all new heroes will be available for free at release. No more purchasing the battle pass to unlock them or grinding for hours – just immediate access to the latest characters.
Game director Aaron Keller announced this change in a developer update, stating that all future heroes, including Venture, will be free for all players upon launch. This means no more unlocking heroes through the Battle Pass – it’s a game changer for Overwatch 2.
But that’s not all – Blizzard is introducing the Mythic Shop in Season 10, where players can work towards past and current seasonal Mythic hero skins as they progress through the Premium Battle Pass. You have the flexibility to choose how far you want to unlock each skin, giving you more control over your customization options.
In addition, players can earn coins through both the free and premium tracks of the battle pass in Season 10. The number of coins you can earn for free per season is increasing from 540 to 600, giving you more opportunities to customize your experience.
And in other news, Blizzard has launched Plunderstorm, a new battle royale-inspired limited-time event for World of Warcraft. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting events in the world of gaming!
